Nietzschean Affirmation

Friedrich Nietzsche first posed the idea in section 341 of The Gay Science (1882), titled "The Greatest Weight," where a demon challenges the reader to embrace every moment of life recurring eternally. He expanded it into the central drama of Thus Spoke Zarathustra (1883–1885), and later called this his "highest formula of affirmation," distilling it as amor fati — love of fate — in Ecce Homo (1888).
