G.I. Joe Fallacy
The fallacy that simple knowledge of an issue is akin to solving that issue, derived from the phrase, "And knowing is half the battle!"

Origin
Yale psychologist Laurie Santos and philosopher Tamar Gendler coined the term around 2014, naming it after the public-service segments that closed every episode of the 1980s cartoon G.I. Joe with the line, "Now you know — and knowing is half the battle!" Santos later built the concept into her 2018 Yale course "Psychology and the Good Life," which became the most popular class in the university's history.
